Early in life, Jay learned he couldn’t follow directions and eventually succumbed to becoming an entrepreneur. As the founder of the Do More Good Movement, Firespring, and nearly two dozen other companies, Jay’s a proven thought leader and visionary, and is a passionate advocate for the Silicon Prairie having served on the Nebraska Angels Board of Directors since its inception. He takes great pride in surrounding himself with people who make a difference in the world and helping those who aspire to do the same. Jay is a frequent presenter, published author, and patron of small businesses.

Early in life, Cohagen learned that he was very good at following directions, so long as they were sensible and the direction-giver was open to feedback on how to optimize toward their desired outcome. After cutting his teeth at Microsoft, Cohagen left to found a firm that develops operational excellence for startups and established small and mid-sized businesses by focusing on alignment and accountability.
